Sustainability is not a mere trend or fad but a deliberate choice to live better for ourselves and our planet. We need to rethink our everyday practices to solve social, environmental, and economic challenges and build a future where we learn to live in harmony with nature and foster the well-being of everyone and everything around us.

An HR by profession but an artist by heart, meet Charusmitha Rao, founder of Coolture Designs- making Indian culture cool and relatable.

She describes herself as a maximalist, a clothaholic who likes to try new and different outfits. She loves handloom, saris, and Indian jewellery. Despite her love for fashion, Charu makes sure she puts minimum pressure on the environment by consuming second-hand, borrowing, and swapping clothes. It’s been 4 years, and she has hardly bought anything new, has been using hand-me-down clothes, pre-loved, and does a lot of outfit swapping.
It's all in the mindset.

In fact for her recent trip to Vietnam, she borrowed clothes, slippers, and accessories for the time being from not only for herself but for her daughter too. The childhood habit of mending culture, and wearing her siblings, and cousins' clothes have stayed with her. Now with a plethora of swapping options, her style is always on point.

Minimize your footprint, and for the remainder, invest in carbon offsets to compensate for the CO2 you created.⁠
