Took Multiple corrections to formulate but the moments like these that matters the most.

Our gorgeous solan is seen here wearing a bib layered top with pleated silk crepe pants.
This ensemble is a combination of hand done pleats with no stress of fixing after wash and stress free easy-layers.

Pleats not only provide an aesthetic function, they are also practical, as they allow for freedom for movement and airflow within the garment.

However the history of the design actually dates back to ancient Egypt. Before Anno Domini the Egyptian used the technique to decorate the rulers tunics and pieces were only created from natural fibres such as silk, cotton and wool. Everytime they had to set the pleats after every wash so only the affluent people could afford it.
Permanent pleat was developed after the Second World War to exploit the thermoplastic nature of newly invented nylon and polyester. Pleating machines have also simplified the process and enabled mass production, although there are many pleaters who create the mold and pleate by hand.
