The new year (gudi padwa in hindu calendar) will mark a reclamation of my hobby, my baby which you all know as Gaea, and of my passion. Hi, this is me! Akanksha Nene 🌷 and from 2019 to 2024, my business and I both have grown and evolved. Through the whirlwind of the pandemic and its aftermath, the following things have happened —
• i graduated (undergrad) 📚🎓
• i got a job as a writer, working with Disney as a part of my job ✨ worked for 2 years.
• I left my job to pursue Gaea as a career (did that also for 2 years) 👔📊
• decided to pursue a post grad degree and prepared for a competitive exam (CAT) 🤯
• ended up scoring well in it 💟
• will be going away for a full time 2 year MBA soon in one of the country's prestigious and reputed schools.
The two years in between when Gaea was my full time job were among the most stressful. The pressure to "scale" was unreal, and with no real guidance I was navigating the waters on my own. The learning has been immense, and one of the lessons is that I want to keep Gaea as a hobby that I use to enrich my soul, and not my bank lol.
And that's what this is — a transformation into the next phase. You'll notice the changed insta handle; this is more about me as a person than as a gemstone product. As always, forever grateful to you for sticking around. 💕 Catch you in the next post!
