CIEL reports its financial results for the period ended 31 March 2020.
Commenting on these results, Jean-Pierre Dalais, Group Chief Executive said:
“There is no doubt that the crisis that we have been going through, for more than two months now, is having a significant impact on our Group. A series of measures aimed at protecting the health of our employees together with that of our companies, were implemented right from the start of the crisis. I would like to salute the way all our teams came together in managing this unprecedented health crisis; Whether at CIEL Textile level where we have produced more than 4.5 million masks to date or at C-Care where we have increased the PCR tests capacities and set up a secured structure to welcome our patients. We are now entering a phased resumption of our activities which is in synch with the reopening of our markets. In this context and with little visibility, a common vision by both the private sector and the public authorities are essential in supporting the most affected sectors of our economy towards recovery. At CIEL, we will continue our efforts to reinvent our business models across all our sectors, whilst becoming more agile in meeting the changed expectations of our customers.”
