The Airlines Hotel is less a restaurant and more a Bangalore ritual—one you don’t plan, you just fall into. Tucked beside the greens of Cubbon Park, it’s been around since the mid-1900s, serving up strong filter coffee, crispy dosas, and an atmosphere that no new café can quite manufacture. Think cane chairs that creak just a little, waiters who’ve seen generations grow up, and tables that have hosted everything from first dates to long, lazy debates. It’s open-air, a little chaotic, always buzzing—and somehow, that’s the charm. You come for a quick coffee and end up staying way longer than you meant to, soaking in that very specific, very irreplaceable old-Bangalore energy.
