Did you know that 2022 laureate in chemistry Barry Sharpless is the only living individual to have been awarded the prize twice? He is the fifth individual to receive two prizes.
Sharpless received his first chemistry prize in 2001 “for his work on chirally catalysed oxidation reactions” and his 2022 prize “for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry."
