Balaji Manickam, the man behind Yukba, found his passion for fashion at the tender age of 14. Learning the most important and basic craft of cutting and sewing form his parents as they own a small Tailor made shop in the city. This self-taught fashion enthusiast earned his graduation in Business Studies and entered into fashion designing through IIFT Bangalore while balancing his job in one of Indian’s biggest online store, Flipkart. Later on, the fashion spirit in Mr. Balaji urged him to own a small boutique in the city, while managing 3 employees. For the past 7 years, he met all the fashion requirement of his clients brought smiles and satisfaction through-out, and earned by a good number of client based in South India. Now, with all this experiences and talent he owns an in house team of 45 employees and more than 300 outsourced employees. Some of the best craft men’s in India including zardozi work, embroidery work, fabric painting, block printing, dying and weavers are now working for Yukba’s new collections.
