“Introduce Different Occupations” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ TexPro ಕೈಮಗ್ಗ ಮನೆಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗೊಲ್ಲರಹಟ್ಟಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕೈಮಗ್ಗ ನೇಕಾರಿಕೆಯ ಪರಿಚಯ ಮಾಡಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆಯಿತು.
ಕೈಮಗ್ಗ ಎಂದರೇನು, ಸೀರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ನೆಯ್ಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಹಾಗೂ ನೇಕಾರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸುವ ಕೆಲವು ವಿಧಾನಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಒಂದು ಸೀರೆ ತಯಾರಾಗಲು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಹನೆ, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಂಪರೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಅನುಭವಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾರಂಪರಿಕ ಕಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ತಲೆಮಾರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಹತ್ವದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

As part of the “Introduce Different Occupations” program, TexPro had the privilege of interacting with primary school students and introducing them to the beautiful world of handloom weaving.
We explained what handloom is, how sarees are created, and demonstrated some basic weaving techniques. The children were very curious and excited to learn how much patience, skill, and tradition go into making a single saree.
Moments like these remind us how important it is to pass traditional knowledge to the next generation.
