The Bluehour kurta-dress features fluid geometric motifs in layered tones of indigo and deep plum. The colour palette draws from the sea—rich, immersive, and quietly dynamic—creating a surface that feels both grounded and expansive.

A panelled yoke forms the focal point of the design, framed with restrained hand embroidery that adds structure and definition without overwhelming the weave. Delicate sea shell accents are introduced at the hem of the yoke, offering a subtle tactile element and a gentle reference to coastal material culture.

This handwoven ikat kurta set is crafted in Odisha warp ikat with geometric check motifs, developed in close collaboration with local weavers. The striking vermilion and ivory colour palette, layered with nuanced ikat checks, brings warmth and depth to the surface while allowing the handwoven character of the textile to remain central.

The checks fabric is tactfully placed in a triangular configuration, creating a strong visual focal point that adds structure and movement to the silhouette. This geometric intervention is balanced with subtle floral hand embroidery, introduced in precise placements to enhance texture without overpowering the weave.

WEDDING ENSEMBLES- Sangeet 🦋⚜️🫐⭐️🪼✨💎🌼💙🔱🪬💛

Repurposed from a vintage royal blue saree with antique gold banarasi weave emerges this striking three piece set featuring an exquisite corset, mermaid skirt and a dupatta.

Originally the pallu of the saree, the drop-shoulder corset with a feminine sweetheart neckline is crafted and contoured with vertical seam lines creating a slender, statuesque effect. Its structure enhances the natural form while allowing fluid movement. The gold motifs catch the light softly, giving the corset an aged, regal lustre.

The dupatta is constructed from the saree’s original border, preserving its most ornate detail while recontextualising it as a statement drape.

The mermaid skirt, constructed from the main body of the saree, is a thoughtful reinterpretation of tradition through a contemporary silhouette.

The gradual flare mirrors the way a saree naturally pools and flows, creating a sense of organic elegance. As the wearer moves, the skirt opens subtly, echoing the rhythm and grace of a draped saree.

Transforming the saree’s main body into a mermaid skirt reflects a zero-waste, mindful approach—honouring the textile by giving it a renewed form without diminishing its value or story.
