The journey with artisans and the desire to create contemporary hand-woven experiments in textiles gave birth to Pankaja. Our designs are inspired by indigenous traditions of India and colors are taken from natural resources to create sustainable Eco-friendly world, translating imagination and innovation together. The design philosophy of Pankaja started with recreating, reviving and reinterpretin

g traditional forms into contemporary sarees styled with a new dimension. The running unstitched fabric- now known as Saree in Pan India with diverse vocabularies and fluid drapes across rural and semi-urban spaces of India might fade in some years. The woven experimentations of Pankaja is creating a space for the new audience that is interested in nuances of lost tradition and interested to participate in creating transition adapted from Indian tradition. Pankaja sarees are aesthetically simple and modern with contemporary appeal inspired from the handcrafted tradition of Odisha.
