Meet co-founder Sonia Arora Munglani, heading Design and Production at Lilac Bunnies!

With a background in Fine Arts, Textile Designing, and Fashion Designing, Sonia's passion for fashion led her to run a successful women's formal wear export house in Chennai, serving happy customers including diplomats and even the Queen of Denmark.

Winner of numerous international awards, Sonia's love for nature and dedication to sustainability led her to work with weavers in a village near Chennai in 2018 to create different weaves using natural fibers such as bamboo, lotus, khus roots, and banana. This led her to realize that these fabrics were perfect for infants with tender skin, as they are soft and gentle.

Sonia's dedication to sustainability is evident in her use of natural and azo-free dyes, sourcing natural buttons, and using cotton for all hand embroidery and embellishments, making Lilac Bunnies' products 100% biodegradable.
