This saree is very close to my heart ❤️
It was my engagement saree from 24 years ago.
Over time, the green body part got damaged… but I couldn’t let it go. Too many memories, too much sentiment attached to it.
So I decided to give it a new life ✨
I carefully preserved the original border and recreated the body using raw silk in the same green shade.
To make it even more special, I added fabric painting inspired by Chithirai Thiruvizha 🎨🦜🦜🦜🦜🦜
The lower part of the saree features a beautiful replication of Meenakshi Amman parrot design, and the pallu is exclusively inspired by Madurai Meenakshi.
