Why do we worship Sri Lakshmi and Shri Ganesha together during Deepavali?

Diwali is a celebration of the return of Shri Ram to Ayodhya after His exile and His victory over Lankeshwar. But on this day, Sri Laksmi and Shri Ganesha are welcomed and worshipped in all households.

Sri Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity and Shri Ganesha is the God of Intelligence and Wisdom, the Remover of Obstacles. We worship these two deities to invite wealth along with wisdom into our lives. It is said that on the night of Diwali, Sri Lakshmi visits each house and blesses everyone with great wealth.

Why are Sri Lakshmi and Shri Ganesha worshipped together?

There is an interesting story behind this. Once Sri Lakshmi arrogantly praised Herself to Her Spouse, Shri Vishnu. She is the One who bestows everyone with money and wealth and was beloved to all.

Shri Vishnu decided to bring a reality check on Her. He reminded Her that though She was Great, as a woman She was incomplete as She was childless. The ultimate joy that a woman can experience is the joy of Motherhood! On hearing this from Shri Vishnu, Sri Lakshmi was extremely disappointed.

Sri Lakshmi turned to Sri Parvati for help and advice. She requested Sri Parvati to let Her adopt one of Her two sons to experience the joy of motherhood. Sri Parvati was reluctant as Sri Lakshmi rarely stayed in one place. Sri Lakshmi assured Sri Parvathi that She would take care of Her son in every possible way and bestow Him with all the happiness. Hence Sri Parvati let Her adopt Shri Ganesha as Her son.

Sri Lakshmi became extremely elated and blessed Shri Ganesha with all Her accomplishments and prosperity. Those worshipping Sri Lakshmi for wealth would first have to worship Shri Ganesha to seek Her blessings.

Hence, Sri Lakshmi is always worshipped along with Shri Ganesha on Diwali.

Gaining wealth without intellect and wisdom will only result in misuse of wealth. So one must first acquire wisdom to spend wealth in the right manner. Therefore Sri Lakshmi and Shri Ganesha are worshipped together.

Blessed prosperous Deepavali and happy festive season to all. Loka Samastha Sukino Bhavantu ❤️

Ganga Snanam on DiwaliDay

India celebrates Deepavali on Saturday, 14th November, 2020 saturday.

This occurs on or the day before the Amavaasya day, after Navarathri. It takes place in the Tamil month of Tula or Tulamasam.
This month falls in between mid October and mid-November.

It is said that the river Cauvery during Tula maasam ,flows as Ganges. On Deepavali day usually all Tamilians will be greeting each other asking Ganga snaanam aachcha. Have you had holy dip in River Ganges?

What does these mean in reality?

The divine frequency/vibrations, present in the sky , over river Ganges is also present, during Tula maasam over the river Cauvery.

Similarly on Deepavali day the same frequency/ vibrations of River Ganges is present between 3am and 5am throughout the world, in each country according to its standard of time.

So taking bath between 3 am and 5 am on Deepavali day morning is equivalent to have had Holy dip in River Ganges.

Those who take bath later than 5am will not be able to take this divine benefit.

So please have your Ganges dip on the day of Deepavali, 14 November 2020❤️

HAPPY DEEPAVALI TO ALL❤️❤️❤️
