Phulkari, a traditional embroidery technique from Punjab, India,dates back to the 15th century. The word"PHULKARI" Comes from the Punjabi words"phul" and "kari" reflecting its floral patterns.
Originated in Punjab,India(now shared with Pakistan)
Influenced by Mughal and Persian art.
Bagh:- covers the entire fabric with embroidery.
Chope:- uses gold or silver threads for embroidery.
Used in wedding,festivals,and special occasions.
