2011 | A YEAR OF MANY FIRSTS

2011 marked several defining moments in the Siddartha Tytler journey.

The year began with the first Bridal Asia collection, followed by the Spring summer collection, ‘White Horse’ inspired by the unapologetic energy of the ’80s disco era and the pulse of New York City.

It was also the year of Siddartha Tytler’s first Lakmé Fashion Week show, with the AW collection ‘Metaloshosy’ bringing a darker, more experimental edge to the runway.

Beyond the shows, the year found its way into the personal archives too, as Neha Kapur and Kunal Nayyar chose Siddartha Tytler for their wedding, making the designer part of a celebration that extended far beyond fashion.

2010 | BEYOND BORDERS

2010 saw Siddartha Tytler continue to expand his visual and design language. The AW collection, ‘Aurora Borealis,’ was showcased at FDCI, bringing a sense of celestial drama to the runway.

The SS10 collection was presented at the Seagram Fashion Show, where Neha Dhupia closed the show, before the collection travelled to Dubai Fashion Week - marking another step towards taking the Siddartha Tytler vision beyond India.

From the runway at home to the world beyond - 2010 was a year of expansion.

2008 | INTO THE WORLD OF HARAJUKU

2008 brought a new visual language to the Siddartha Tytler story. The AW campaign set the tone, while “Harajuku”, inspired by the bold, playful world of Japanese anime and Harajuku culture, took the FDCI runway by storm.

A year of experimentation, pop culture and imagination, where fashion stepped beyond the expected and into a world entirely its own.

2008 is all about when fantasy found its way onto the runway.

Our second collection for Mood Swings, Love & War, made its debut at Van Heusen Men’s Fashion Week, exploring the tension between two opposing forces: romance and rebellion, softness and strength.

The year also marked a beautiful archival moment with Anjali Kothari as a bride, capturing another facet of the Siddartha Tytler universe.

2006 | THE FDCI DEBUT

2006 marked the beginning of our association with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and with it, a new chapter in the Siddartha Tytler journey.

We presented “Tribute to Moksha”, a collection that found its place on the FDCI runway. It was also the first time Deepika walked for Siddartha Tytler, a moment that would become part of the house’s history.

2001. FTI New York. And a dream that had just begun.

My first clothes. My first shoot. My first step into a world that would go on to become a lifelong journey.

Looking back, it’s incredible to realise how much can begin with simply creating something for the first time.

25 years later, the journey continues.
