What can I say that hasn't already been said? I think everyone knows how I feel about this boy and about him turning twelve. Watching him grow up has been the joy of my life and also the cause of heartache to see him turn more and more from my little boy into a man.
I never knew how much I could love, or fight, or cry, or laugh until Christian came along. This journey has been painful and joyful and hard and worth it, and I'm so thankful that I've gotten to stand in the glow of this amazing human's light for twelve years now. I would do it a million more times. I would choose Christian and this journey for eternity. There is no price I would not pay to get to hear this boy call me mama.
If you want to know why I wake up every morning, why I'm still here fighting, why I never gave up even when I desperately wanted to, why I live and breathe, you're looking at it.
