We seek to celebrate the modern Indian woman, the harmonizer - woman who values & takes pride in her traditions. Indian traditions including arts and crafts were a part of her everyday life, her dreams, stories & fantasies she grew up with. और वो रंगों का जादूगर
वो चलती थी अंगारों पर
और इमरोज था शीत समंदर

वो अगर थकती, बिखरती
तो इमरोज सुबह के ख़्वाब सा

She is smart enough to want more but tired enough to accept the way things are.

She is too smart and that made people uncomfortable—most folks where she’s lived her whole life don’t trust too much intelligence in a woman.

There is also the problem with her eyes—they don’t hide anything. If she didn’t care for a person, her eyes make it plain. She doesn’t care for most.

Most folks are generally comfortable with the small lies they tell each other. They don’t know what to do with someone like her, the one who doesn’t bother with small lies.

She was smart enough to want more but tired enough to accept the way things were.
