Do you also keep thinking about trying on a head wrap/scarf but never do?
If yes, this one's a sign from above( or just me?!) - JUST DO IT✔️

Spotted in Lodhi Colony, New Delhi some days ago. Honestly, with the Panaroma situation, I am hardly out so it's quite tough to approach other people for photographs. So what else would you like to see on this account?

Ripped Jeans Supremacy 🙌
Years ago, I remember how someone said to my father to look at my ripped jeans & "take control" of their daughter. To which he retorted, it's air conditioning considering how hot Delhi gets.

Until you have men in your life who don't have obnoxious opinions on what you're wearing, you can ignore or not give a platform to the ones who try to moral police you.

Metro spottings are the most fun yet the most difficult to approach. How do you tell people you love what they're wearing from six feet apart? (Without them thinking you're a loud creep 😔)

A best friend, favorite book and a white anarkali are absolute essentials in a desi girl's life.
Spotted a very vintage-y white anarkali styled with lilac pants which had pink flowers on it with a brighter pink and purple dupatta. And boy, we were floored ( pun intended)

Before starting the 60 days no clothes repeat challenge I had some idea that it's going to be a difficult one. It looks easy from outside, believe me, it's not. In just 10 days of doing this challenge, I can see myself struggling at each step. From making month-long calendar to remaking it to save few outfits for the "special events" as I can't repeat them, it's a struggle.
In these ten days, I have learnt one thing already. I was only using 20% of my wardrobe on a daily basis which was my anarkalis. Even in these ten days, four days I wore Anarkali, which pretty much makes them my 'uniform' and I should be investing in them instead of hoarding clothes. Lesson 1 learnt!
I know how to style clothes, but mostly I don't either because I am scared of experimenting and stepping out or because I am merely lazy to make an effort. But due to this challenge I have already worn two outfits which I wouldn't have worn if it wasn't for the challenge. Like the shirt and slitted maxi skirt outfit. I always thought of pairing a shirt with that skirt in my head but never actually wore it. I finally did for the challenge. And the power blouse, which was stacked in almirah for months. I wore that too finally.
The challenge is making me use more than 20% of my wardrobe on a daily basis. That's one thing which I am pleased about in the past ten days. And I have finally found my uniform; for now, hopefully, now I won't hoard other clothes.

How did you spend your Sunday? We spent our Sunday creating content that resonates with *Matargasht*
We had changed our website from streetstyledelhi.com to matargasht.com to explore all facets of style, fashion and culture in India apart from just street style.
This is a BTS shot from a very vintage-pop culture story we shot yesterday.

Since we were amiss for a while, here is a not so short style story for you all featuring Arshiya.
1.Tell us about yourself
I am a free spirited girl with a deep love for literature, culture and nature.
2. What do you do for a living?
I am currently working as a freelance makeup artist but that's something of a forced decision due to some personal circumstances. So a regular day at work is pretty chill with me trying to keep my knowledge of makeup updated and going out only when I have a booking. However I am looking for a job in training/ teaching because thats what i am passionate about.
3.How would you describe your sense of style?
I like to keep my look simple yet classy. I am drawn towards indo western attires and accessories. And I value comfort more than anything else when it comes to styling. Also, I love wearing ethnic, specially saree.
4.How do you think Delhi alters and sometimes even dictates what you wear. Has it ever happened that you have dressed up and suddenly changed into something else because you feel it’s “too much” for Delhi?
Yes, unfortunately that is true. I am not too comfortable wearing shorts or skirts coz it's just annoying how people stare at you and this includes even some women giving you judgemental looks. I remember wearing a maxi dress with noodle straps to CP one day and idk how many people literally turned to take a second look as if i was wearing something unusual. It's not that I don't wear what I like because of these people, but somewhere on a subconscious level I opt for safer options
5. What are your favourite things to wear in summer and are absolute essentials for you?
My favourite thing to wear in summers would be maxi dresses hands down. They are the most comfortable and airy choice of clothing in summers, in my opinion. Apart from that, i love teaming up tops and shirts with long skirts, wrap arounds, jeggings or palazzos. Absolute essential- maxi dresses
7. One secret style tip that you’d like to share with the world- wear what you feel comfortable wearing, and you'll pull it off gracefully. Don't just blindly follow the trends simply for the sake of being fashionable.

We are always rooting for well-tailored pants. We may not champion the cause of a formal shirt, we believe that good trousers should always have a place in one's kitty.
