When Nushrratt Bharuccha steps into a room, she brings her own light. ✨

For her, we styled her in Mezza Luna — a couture creation inspired by the eternal dance between moonlight and darkness. The sculpted silver bodice captures the brilliance of a full moon, while the dramatic feathered black train evokes the mystery of the midnight sky.

A study in contrast, elegance, and power, Mezza Luna is designed for a woman who embraces every facet of herself — luminous and enigmatic, graceful and fearless.

The Black Madonna Gown — Worn by Tarina Patel at Cannes
"My Black Madonna gown is a dramatic couture interpretation of divine femininity, inspired by the enigmatic iconography of the Black Madonna — a symbol revered across cultures for strength, resilience, mystery, and spiritual power.
At the heart of the design is the monumental circular halo, a sculptural element that frames the wearer much like the sacred aureoles seen in Renaissance and Byzantine depictions of the Madonna. Reimagined in black and richly embellished with celestial motifs, the halo transforms Tarina Patel into a modern-day goddess, commanding attention from every angle on the Cannes red carpet.
The gown itself is meticulously hand-embroidered with thousands of crystals, beads, sequins, and metallic embellishments arranged in an intricate baroque-inspired pattern. The interplay of black and antique gold creates a sense of sacred opulence, evoking antique reliquaries, cathedral treasures, and regal ceremonial attire.
A plunging neckline and body-contouring silhouette lend modern sensuality, while the fitted mermaid shape elongates the figure before opening into a subtle train. The delicate crystal fringe draped across the bodice introduces movement and lightness, balancing the architectural grandeur of the halo.
With Black Madonna, Amit GT explores the intersection of faith, fashion, and feminine power — creating a couture statement that is both theatrical and deeply symbolic. "To be recognised among India's Top 10 Couturiers once again is both humbling and deeply gratifying.

What makes this honour especially meaningful is not the ranking itself, but the consistency it represents. This is the 3rd time in a decade, I have been ranked in top 10. Last time, it was in 2022. In an industry that evolves at an extraordinary pace, where trends come and go with every season, sustaining a place among the country's leading couturiers year after year is perhaps the greatest validation of one's craft.

When I began my journey, my vision was never to chase popularity. My ambition was to create couture that would stand the test of time — garments that celebrated artistry, craftsmanship, and individuality. Over the years, that commitment has remained unchanged.

The fashion landscape has transformed dramatically. New talents have emerged, consumer preferences have evolved, and the global conversation around luxury has shifted. Yet through all these changes, Amit GT Couture has remained steadfast in its pursuit of excellence, intricate craftsmanship, and uncompromising attention to detail.

This recognition belongs not only to me but also to the incredible artisans, embroiderers, pattern makers, and craftsmen whose hands bring every creation to life. It belongs to my team, my family, and the remarkable women who have trusted us to be part of their most memorable moments.

To be ranked among India's finest couturiers once again is a privilege I do not take lightly. It reminds me that true success in couture is not measured by a single collection or a single season, but by the ability to remain relevant, innovative, and authentic over decades.

My gratitude to everyone who has supported this journey. The recognition is appreciated, but the pursuit of creating exceptional couture continues with the same passion and hunger as ever.

Victoria Sylvestedt in Amit GT RÈVE NOIR Gown: This may be hard to believe, but Victoria Sylvstedt was actually the muse behind this gown long before she ever wore it. Then again, when one thinks of Cannes, a few iconic names instantly come to mind, and for me, Victoria and Hofit Golan have always embodied the glamour and grandeur of the festival. I was incredibly fortunate to dress both of them this year.

For Victoria, I wanted to create something that reflected her commanding presence — a look that was fierce, unapologetically bold, and undeniably sensual. The design celebrates confidence and femininity in equal measure, combining dramatic couture craftsmanship with the kind of red-carpet allure that Victoria carries so effortlessly.

Amit GT Couture was honoured to present an exclusive couture showcase accompanied by an intimate sit-down dinner at the prestigious Le Barrière Majestic, Cannes, attended by distinguished celebrities, media personalities, and international guests.

We extend our sincere gratitude to FashionTV for presenting our show as part of the Golden Lumiere Awards, and to Mr Mariusz Pujszo for his support and hospitality.

A special thank you to ENW Showroom for their collaboration, and to Ms Liza Verma for flawlessly coordinating and choreographing the presentation.

The evening was a celebration of couture, creativity, and international cultural exchange, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to making it such a memorable success.

Noblesse Gown:

Known for her glamorous Cannes appearances and unmistakable red-carpet presence, Hofit Golan has long embraced the drama and grandeur that the festival celebrates.

For this year's closing ceremony, I wanted to create a look worthy of that spirit. Drawing inspiration from the magnificent jewels of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, I designed a dramatic ball gown with an intricately embellished bodice that brought a touch of Indian royal heritage to the French Riviera.

I was especially honoured that Hofit chose this creation for one of Cannes' most watched red carpets, allowing a story of Indian craftsmanship and regal splendour to shine on a global stage.
