India and the United States continue to strengthen their economic partnership.

During their meeting on the sidelines of the G7 Summit, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump Jr. discussed bilateral relations, trade cooperation and opportunities for deeper economic engagement. President Trump described the interaction as a "very good" meeting and indicated that both countries are actively working on trade agreements.

A stronger India–US trade partnership can create new opportunities for exporters, enhance market access and support long-term growth across key sectors, including apparel exports.

The countdown begins.

The India–UK Free Trade Agreement will officially enter into force on 15 July 2026, opening a new chapter for bilateral trade and creating significant opportunities for India's apparel exporters. The agreement is expected to provide duty-free access for apparel exports, improve market access, enhance competitiveness and support long-term export growth.

This landmark achievement reflects the sustained efforts of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Hon'ble Minister of Commerce & Industry Shri Piyush Goyal in strengthening India's global trade partnerships and expanding opportunities for Indian exporters.

AEPC welcomes this historic milestone and encourages exporters to prepare for the opportunities emerging from one of India's most significant trade agreements.
