Clad on handwoven piece-de-resistance that the Weavers/Artisans arduously weave not only to earn for livelihoods & nourishing children but also weaving the National Identity and Heritage SHINTHA Handlooms and Handicrafts, Thongju Part-II Imphal East is the creator of the Hello Handlooms and Handicrafts of Manipur with an objective of promoting the state's weavers and artisans who are occupying the

second largest economic sector of the state with a population of about 7 lakhs providing the second largest employment next to agriculture. It's needed to look after the decentralised sector of Handlooms and Textiles until and unless the metro lifestyles are arrived at with minimizing the centralised sectors whose time will certainly turn up one day.
