Empowering Change, Weaving Impact | I Am Pratibha – October 2025 Edition

The October 2025 edition of I Am Pratibha reflects how Pratibha Syntex continues to lead with purpose — integrating sustainability, empowerment, and innovation into every thread of its journey.
This month marked a proud milestone as two women farmers from Petlawad -Mamta and Gavara- represented India’s regenerative organic farming community at the global Textile Exchange Conference, sharing firsthand experiences of soil health improvement, yield growth, and livelihood transformation. Although they were unable to attend the event due to visa issues, their voices underscored the power of grassroots leadership in shaping the global sustainability dialogue.
The edition also celebrates the empowerment of over 1,500 women through Dress Designing Centres of the Pratibha Foundation, wellbeing initiatives like Diwali Meditation and Hawan, and climate advocacy through the Pedal to Plant cycling expedition- supported by Ecolove- led by Everester and cyclist Nisha Kumari, championing the cause of Change Before Climate Change.
Through each initiative, Pratibha continues to reinforce its belief that sustainability is not just a practice- it’s a shared purpose.

Fibre Reimagined- Part 1
Pratibha Syntex begins its fibre story at the source, with the soil. Through its Vasudha Swaraj initiative, more than 20,000 farmers across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan cultivate regenerative cotton using organic practices, certified under NPOP, NOP, ROC, and Fairtrade standards.
Beyond cotton, Pratibha continues to expand its sustainable fibre portfolio by integrating next-generation and circular materials such as Lenzing™ Modal, TENCEL™, recycled polyester, h**p, linen, and banana fibre blends, ensuring both performance and reduced environmental impact.
This approach reflects Pratibha’s long-standing commitment to responsible sourcing, regenerative agriculture, and fibre innovation that supports both the planet and its people.

Shiv Kumar Chaudhary, the visionary founder of Pratibha Syntex Ltd, passed away in the early hours of 17th June, leaving behind a legacy of purpose-driven leadership, compassion, and transformative impact.
A pioneer of India’s textile industry, Shri Chaudhary laid the foundation of Pratibha Syntex with a vision far ahead of its time. From a modest spinning unit of 25,000 spindles and 200 employees, he built one of India’s most respected vertically integrated textile enterprises, spanning spinning, knitting, dyeing, and garmenting. His unwavering foresight led to the creation of Pratibha Swaraj in 2022, a future-ready facility for sustainable and seamless apparel manufacturing.
More than an industrialist, he was a compassionate leader deeply committed to social upliftment. Through the Pratibha Foundation, he championed causes such as child education, healthcare access, and rural development. His active involvement with the Friends of Tribal Society brought education and hope to tribal communities across remote regions.
He will be remembered not only for the institution he built, but for the lives he touched, with humility, wisdom, and generosity. His legacy will continue to guide and inspire us all.

The event also featured an inspiring session by Ms. Nisha Kumari, renowned Everester and cyclist, who shared her powerful journey of perseverance and resilience. Mr. Mukesh Matta, Vice President – ESG, welcomed the guest and later extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, reinforcing the company’s dedication to environmental stewardship and collective action.

To mark World Environment Day, Pratibha is pleased to welcome Everester and endurance cyclist Ms. Nisha Kumari to its Pithampur facility. The day will commence with a tree plantation drive, followed by an interactive session where Ms. Kumari will share her journey, highlighting the values of perseverance, purpose, and environmental responsibility.
Renowned for her resilience and discipline, Ms. Kumari exemplifies how meaningful change—both personal and environmental—is driven by consistent effort and clear intent. Pratibha had the privilege of supporting her solo cycling expedition from Vadodara to London, a mission grounded in her message: “change before climate change.” This ethos strongly aligns with Pratibha’s two-decade legacy of proactive sustainability.
Her presence on this occasion reflects our shared belief in purpose-led action and the collective role we play in shaping a more conscious and responsible future.

The first quarter of 2025 was a reflection of Pratibha Syntex’s deep-rooted commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and community engagement.
We proudly showcased our vision for responsible fashion at Bharat Tex 2025 and engaged with key policymakers at the Global Investors Summit, reinforcing our role in shaping sustainable textile policy and growth.
At the grassroots, the Vasudha Swaraj Annual Farmer Convention in Petlawad brought together over 3,500 farmers—including 1,500 women—to celebrate regenerative practices and the spirit of community-led progress.
Within our campuses, the Pratibha Premier League sparked energy and team bonding, while festivals like Holi and New Year were celebrated with joy and camaraderie.
Our continuous effort to foster safe and respectful workplaces was further strengthened through a POSH awareness street play, engaging associates meaningfully.
