Hello everyone
Designing my own line has always been a dream of mine and I'm so excited to finally announce that I am starting my own fashion label by the name of ‘Gaura Gupta’. This has been a long time in the making and it's taken a lot of hard work but it's finally coming to fruition. The collections that I will be launching are sure to delight all who see them – after all, it's like a dream come true!
-It all started with a dream and some scissor-✂️
As a kid, I was always creative and loved fashion. I would cut out pictures of stylish outfits from my mom's magazines- Vogue, Femina and Cosmopolitan and paste them into my own fashion journal (for which mom always used to scold me and hide newly arrived magazines from me because I used to cut and ruin them before she even had a chance to read :P). Now that I'm a fashion designer myself, graduate of NIFT Chennai(2015-2019), finally designing outfits and bringing them to life. ✨
I'm having the best day ever because I get to do what I love - design clothes! and turn it into something beautiful and unique. It's so gratifying to see the smile on someone's face when they put on one of my designs. I think that fashion is a powerful tool for self-expression. My style is feminine like to use soft, vibrant colors and flowing fabrics. My goal is always to create pieces that women will love wearing because when they feel beautiful in what they're wearing, their confidence shines through.
- Of course there have been times during the process when I dealt with anxiety and depression but I never gave up on myself!, I've always had a go-getter attitude and willingness to research and learn new things. I'm happy to say that my new business venture is off to a great start after a long time of putting in the hard work. ✨
Most thanks goes out to my family and friends who’ve always been there for me throughout this journey. Special thanks to my Rohan mama for showing me which direction to take my label. He’s been a great business mentor and friend, and I’m forever grateful for all his help along the way.✨😇
Also,I'm so grateful to have been born into an Indian Army family (my father is an Indian Army officer), It's given me the opportunity to see different parts of India and meet new people. I've learned a lot about different cultures and customs. It's been a great experience.✨
So, here I am – an Army brat turned fashion entrepreneur! let me tell you - this has been quite an experience for me! As no one in my fauji family ever had a business mindset or inclination so this was totally new terrain for me but thankfully with lots of research (and by trial & error), which has helped me in this new venture, so here we are…launching my very own line of clothing!!!🙏🏻😇😍🥺
Stay tuned because the label ‘Gaura Gupta’ is going to be huge!!! Which will cater contemporary, Indo-western & ethnic wear for women across globe.
