Signature “Meena Danka” saree, titled “Mayurakshi.” Inspired by the timeless beauty of the peacock, the saree features intricate motifs spread gracefully across the entire drape. The pallu showcases a magnificent dancing peacock in full grandeur, while smaller dancing peacocks are delicately woven throughout the saree. The peacock was chosen as the central theme because of its deep significance and prominence in the traditional art and culture of Rajasthan.

This special “Mayurakshi” Meena Danka saree, worn by Dr. Sonal Parihar at Cannes, took nearly 244 hours of meticulous craftsmanship to complete — from the intricate Meena detailing to the final stitch on the majestic peacock motif.

This marks a proud milestone for Neetu Singh as we showcase our signature “Meena Danka” collection on the red carpet of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2026 with Dr. Sonal Parihar.

Sharing a proud moment for Neetu Singh .creations , as we showcase our signature “MEENA DANKA” collection on the Red Carpet of the Film Festival 2026 with Dr. Sonal Parihar .parihar.33 .

Danka is a 400-year-old ancient artwork that originated in Rajasthan. It involves the hand embroidery of metal plates onto fabric. Today, this traditional art form has found a new identity through the innovation and creativity of Indian designer Neetu Singh, who combined the intricate Meena work with Danka handwork to create “MEENA DANKA”.

This new form of artistry involves filling Meena into motifs created on the metal of Danka, transforming every embroidered piece into not just a fashion statement, but a work of art. It brings together the beauty of both art forms, reaching a new zenith of craftsmanship. The process is highly intricate, requires immense precision, and consumes a significant amount of time to create a single garment.

This special Meena Danka saree, worn by Dr. Sonal Parihar at Cannes, took almost 244 hours to come into existence— from designing to filling in the Meena to the very last stitch on the Mayur motif.

The peacock was chosen as the central theme because of its deep connection with the art and culture of Rajasthan — from the paintings of the Rajput schools, to the Mayur Dwar of Jaipur, to peacock motifs embroidered on the poshaks of queens and princesses, and even the real peacocks dancing through the royal courtyards and verandas of Rajasthan’s palaces and forts. Over centuries, the peacock has been beautifully romanticised in Rajasthan’s artistic heritage. That’s why this saree is named, “मयूराक्षि / MAYURAKSHI”, as it’s inspired by the peacock motifs spread across the saree, paying homage to the ethereal bird. 🦚

The name “मयूराक्षि” comes from Sanskrit, meaning “someone who is peacock-eyed.” The saree features a large dancing peacock across the pallu, while smaller dancing peacocks are spread closely all over the saree. All of the handwork has been done on a pure tissue saree, shaded in red and gradually descending into cola-red tones.

The internationally renowned Cannes Film Festival is recognized as one of the world’s most influential platforms for cinema, culture, and high fashion.

Yet, beyond the silver screen, Cannes is equally a theatre of visual opulence. The iconic red carpet becomes a runway of haute couture, where fashion houses craft moments as memorable as the films themselves. Flowing gowns, sharp tuxedos, and avant-garde ensembles reflect not only personal style but also cultural narratives and artistic expression. In many ways, Cannes blurs the line between cinema and couture, making both equally central to its identity.

Remarkable opportunity to introduce “MEENA DANKA” our Signature design, on The of world’s most influential platforms for cinema, culture, and high fashion.

Rajasthan has always been a land of royal heritage, timeless artistry, and extraordinary craftsmanship. Among its most treasured traditions stands the magnificent art of Danka Work — a rare form of metal embroidery that originated nearly 400 years ago. Today, this ancient tradition has found a remarkable new identity through the visionary creativity of Neetu Singh. With passion, innovation, and deep respect for heritage, she has revolutionized the classical art form by introducing an exclusive designer collection known as “MEENA DANKA”. Her work beautifully blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary luxury by incorporating Gold and Silver Plates, Gold-Plated Silver, German Silver, and Copper Dankas into breathtaking artistic creations.

Through her dedication, Neetu Singh is not only preserving a dying heritage but also elevating Danka Work onto the global stage of luxury fashion and artistic excellence.

“Meena Danka” is more than a collection — it is a revival of royal legacy, a celebration of Indian craftsmanship, and a proud step toward giving traditional hand embroidery a bold and innovative future.

The Chandrika — “MOON” version.
The reason behind we named this beautiful masterpiece — “Chandrika/ चंद्रिका” is because of its serene blueish-grey colour, which somehow signifies the moon and the moonlight on a full moon night, called Poornima or Poonam (पूर्णिमा or पूनम) locally in Rajasthan.

We named this poshak cm lehenga set the “Moon” version because of its delicate Silver “Gotta” work, the silver tone of the Laffa and the matte shine of the antique silver charkhi and chatai gotta intricately embroidered on the lehenga and the kurti…gives that delicate and moonlight kind of glow.🌙

It’s perfect for those who are looking for that dreamy, magical and that flowy vibe and pure handicraft adorned down into a perfect masterpiece in a dress that looks effortlessly traditional with the hints of modernity.
एक रिवाज़…एक परंपरा…

Crafted in pure satin silk, the lehenga and kurti paired with a delicate pure organza dupatta, adorned with intricate antique laffa work and classic gota patti, Chandrika celebrates the beauty of traditional artistry blended with modern sophistication.
