How to pick your sunscreen

Sunscreen is mainly important to protect you from the harmful rays of the sun. Cosmetic Physician Rashmi Shetty discusses how to pick a sunscreen.

1. It is extremely important to select a sunscreen with a good SPF. An ideal should be within a range of SPF 15-25 for the normal Indian skin.

2. Check for the gradation of your sunscreen. You can normally find it on the cover pack. It should either have a minimum three star TPA gradation or a PA+++ mark.

3. Some sunscreens work well on oily skin, while some are good on dry and combination skin. Take a quick look on the pack and see whether it suits your skin type or not.

4. Opt for a milky or emulsion based sunscreen, so that it spreads evenly on your face and doesn’t make you feel sticky and uncomfortable.

5. Check the ingredients properly, as some sunscreens with an alcohol percentage cause dryness, irritation or skin breakouts

5 Magic Ways to Look Slimmer

Contrary to popular belief, we do not need a magic wand or Aladdin’s genie to take off a few pounds and look slimmer. Sometimes, all it takes is some clever styling secrets and the knowledge to work them to your advantage. These clever tips will help you slim down instantly.

Don’t hide under layers:

To begin with, go against your natural instinct to hide under layers of unflattering, shapeless attire. Adding unnecessary volume to your silhouette can actually make you appear larger.
