Swapan and Seema’s commitment to the heritage of Indian textiles and embroidery culminated in their design label ‘Swapan&Seema’. Rooted in the traditional crafts of embroidery that survived in the remote lanes of Calcutta, the two designers have always been open to inspiration from international trends. Maintaining an Indian aesthetic and providing a contemporary twist to traditional garments has

been their shared vision. Swapan and Seema are veterans in the Indian fashion industry-with bi-annual shows at the India Fashion Week and their designs retailing in select stores in India and abroad. They have injected a touch of glamour to traditional Indian garments and their designs are typically ultra-feminine and contemporary. Their label is currently placed at the forefront of the burgeoning fashion industry in this country. Luxurious fabrics, opulent embroidery recall a bygone era of Indian luxury translated into a modern context.

Gita Suhasuria founded the legendary 'Rose Beauty' in the early 70s, a boutique still known for its bandhani sarees and lehengas. Her son and daughter-in-law started the popular boutique 'Vachi' under her able guidance.
Gita started designing after she moved to Jaipur and observed the beauty of the state’s traditional craftwork. She was inspired by Gayatri Devi, Maharani of Jaipur and strived to make a name for herself in the world of fashion. Gita is proud that she started from “zero” and managed to reach where she is today. She aspires to help women become self-dependent; she also hopes to take her brand to the mass market.
