Indian(desi) cottons originally grown by smallholder, with the Yarn hand spun by skilled khadhi workers and colored with natural dyes where required, with the fabric woven on handlooms by master weavers. In the brand "Desi Sutra" we are showcasing garments made with “Indian(Desi) Cotton”. The plantation of these cotton which is used in our brand is done is the state of Odissa(India) and the spinning of the yarn is done in the state of Gujrat(India), the dying of this spinned yarn is done in Wardha in the state of Maharastra(India) and the final weaving is done in Bardhwan in the state of West Bengal(India) by the unprivileged and marginalized weavers.
