August 7 was chosen to honor the Swadeshi Movement, a significant part of India’s freedom struggle, initiated in 1905. is observed on August 7th every year in India to honor the handloom weavers and their contribution to the country’s rich textile heritage and economy. This summer I got an opportunity to visit where I witnessed India’s handloom heritage, the beauty and craftsmanship of traditional Indian textiles - ..These sarees hail from Bhoodan Pochampally, a cluster of around 80–100 weaving villages in Telanganasupporting and promoting the livelihood of handloom workers across the country. What a great experience it was ❤️ ❣️
