Sarees from Bharati Datta Bharati Datta works with weavers of Bengal, weaving her dreams into tussar and silk sarees Bharati & Uday are a senior citizen couple based out of Kolkata.

For the past decade ‘Sarees from Bharati Datta’ has been working with six weaving families in Bishnupur (Bankura district of West Bengal). Bharati Datta weaves her dreams into tassar and silk sarees. The printing is carried out by home based printers in Hooghly district. To support handiwork, and to move away from machine-work, Bharati works with karigars from 24 Parganas.
