শনিবারের বাড়বেলা।।

চৈত্র মাসে বিবাহ উৎসব আমরা দেখি না। অথচ চৈত্র সংক্রান্তির আগের দিন পালিত বাংলার একটি বিশেষ লোক-উত্সব, যা মূলত শিব ও পার্বতীর (নীল-নীলাবতী) বিবাহ উৎসব। সেই বিবাহ স্মরণে পালন হয় নীল ষষ্ঠী।

নীলের বাতি। সম্পূর্ণ ব্যক্তিগত দৃষ্টি তে আমার মনে হয় নীলকণ্ঠ বেছে নিয়ে ছিলেন এই দিনটি, পুরাতনী বছরের সমস্ত নীলিমা বা যা কিছু রিক্ত, পরিত্যক্ত আছে, সবটা বিলীন করে নতুন বছরের নতুন শুভ সূচনা করবেন বলে।

হয়তো এই পার্বন জুড়ে নিশ্চয়ই কিছু অন্তর্নিহিত অর্থ আছে, যা সঠিক জানা নেই। কেই যদি বিস্তারিত জানেন অবশ্যই জানাবেন। এইসব পুরাতনী তথ্য জেনে সমৃদ্ধ হতে কার না ভালো লাগে!
