made the beautiful decision to honour both the families in her wedding day outfits. For the pheras, she wore our gorgeous red Benarasi with a custom blouse and veil, a very Bengali choice. She kept it true to her style with the choice of silver zari and small butas. Red was also a good match with the Groom’s off-white ensemble.
And then, like a spy movie, we aided her in a quick escape and transformation and she was back in her second outfit (wait for tomorrow’s post)

Our bride wore a pastel ensemble for her sangeet. For her, there was no precedence for what a Bengali-Marwadi wedding would be like. We knew we wanted to give a more ornate outfit. All she wanted was to feel comfortable and light so she could dance all she wanted on the day of the sangeet.
To keep it light, we chose thread-work instead of stones and a lightweight cancan skirt. We made sure the fabrics even though they look delicate could sustain proper dance movements. And the fact that she danced for 2 hours without any hesitation tells us that this was a success ❤️✨✨

Our bride finds little joys of life in clothes. So when it came to her mehendi outfit, she wanted it to be fun and comfortably gorgeous in an understated way which would also stand out and transition well from day to night. Modest and modern, so we went with this layered look with good block printed organza and zari woven chanderi.
