m designs are sourced from Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu and the weavers of Andhra Pradesh produce the glamorous Gadwal. Our links with Eastern Indian and Bangladeshi weavers are a century old and this is reflected in the variety of hand woven styles on offer. The fine muslin of the Jaamdani weave from Dhaka, the simple ‘ikkat’ (tye-dye) or Orissa’s Sambalpuri sari and the ever elegant Assam silk, Saulkuchi, are just some of the styles we offer. Our aim is to provide our customers with a unique expression of regional tradition (each sari is only woven once) while helping to provide sustainable employment of hundreds of weavers across the subcontinent.
