Here's few things you may not have known about Labrador Retrievers :

• The Labrador Retriever was inducted into the AKC Registry in 1917.

• Labradors aren't from Labrador. They are from Newfoundland, Canada even once having the nickname the St. John's water dog.

• Silver Labradors exist, but aren't recognized by breeders or kennel clubs. The official coat colors are Chocolate, Yellow, and Black.

• The world's oldest Lab was 29 years old. Her name was Bella.

• Their "gentle mouths" are a result of being bred as bird dogs for so long.

• Labrador Retrievers are not necessarily good watchdogs...

• Labs have a double coat to protect them from icy water kinda like otters; they're almost waterproof! They also have webbed toes...

• They originally helped fishermen in Newfoundland retrieve fish and collect lines and nets in the water.

•Labs almost went extinct in the late 1800s because Newfoundland put a tax on households with more than one dog, particularly households with female dogs.

Here's some Fun Facts about Siberian Husky :

• It seems Siberian Huskies are in tune with that Earth’s magnetic field when they p**p.

• Siberian Huskies were ‘war dogs’ and used a part of the search and rescue teams in WWII.

• Canada had the first registered Siberian Huskies.

• The Husky is not colorblind that is a myth.

• Do you wish you could see in the dark? Well, Siberian Huskies can, because they have a tapetum lucidum membrane in their eyes.

• Be warned potty training will take great patience with this independent thinker.

• Siberian Huskies might not bark a lot, but they are a highly vocal breed. They give you a variety of vocal soundings including yelps, howls, and sounds that might sound like talking.

• The breed has several coat color combinations; they include agouti, pure white, white and grey, white and copper red as well as full black.

• Siberian Huskies sometimes have one blue eye and one brown eye. This is referred to as Heterochromia.

• Every human has a different fingerprint; well every Husky has a different nose print. Cool huh?

• To keep their eyes protected and moist Siberian Huskies have a nictitating membrane or extra eyelid.
