This misconception stems from a lack of understanding of the garment’s geometry. With the right approach, you can accurately calculate yarn requirements — not just for a sample, but for the entire order — using only the approved swatch details, measurement chart, and order quantities. Accuracy can be achieved down to the gram.

Skill India was introduced in 2015, though many sectors in Textiles availed the opportunity, sadly the RMG sector the knitted garment manufacturing industry failed to avail it. I am glad that in India a few knitted goods manufacturing companies have understood the need to upgrade the skills of their workforce. Glad that two Sweater Manufacturing Companies in Silvassa and Tirupur have understood the importance of worker skill. Visiting Silvassa and Tirupur to impart special training to the workforce. The companies are more than 20 years old, the owners are not only knowledgeable but visionaries too.
