“Handloom hi kyun? Ye hi tumhari pehchaan kyun?”

Maine socha…
shayad ye sawaal sirf kaam ka nahi,
dil ka bhi hai.

Jab handloom ki awaaz mein apnapan lagne laga,
jab karigar parivaar jaise lagne lage,
tab samajh gaya,
maine inhe nahi chuna,
inhone mujhe chuna hai.
Ye mere liye nahi,
main inke liye kaam kar raha hoon.

Iss mitti, iss mehnat aur iss virasat par
mujhe garv hai. 🇮🇳

Craft meets creativity in the most unexpected ways.
A small example of our weaver’s smartness.
For the Haatbazar Dupatta, we needed broad stripes of exact size. Instead of using a measuring tape repeatedly, he made this wooden stick as a quick measuring tool.
“Time bachta hai, aur kaam perfect hota hai,” and he smiled.
This is what we love handmade ideas, solved with handmade solutions.
