Streetwear meets Himalayan folk core at BHOOTSAVAAR.

Paying tribute to the legendary sculptor GUGGA (Gugga Mistri)—a master of intricate metal & wood carvings from Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. Brought to the kingdom by Raja Meruvarman, Gugga shaped iconic idols and temple structures like the Chhatrari temple, known for Kashmiri influence, botanical motifs, and four-petal designs.

This collection reimagines his carvings through volume staples, washes, fabric manipulation, and screen + digital prints.

BHOOTSAVAAR proudly draws inspiration from the LEGENDARY CRAFTSMANSHIP of Gugga Mistri, the 7th–8th century master behind iconic Himalayan wooden temples and metal idols. Our latest collection channels the POST-GUPTA STYLE that defines his work — intricate BOTANICAL MOTIFS and the distinctive FOUR-PETAL DESIGN, a symbol deeply rooted in northern Indian temple art of that era. This historic motif shapes the 3D PATTERN on our hoodie, while the PANTS silhouette, with its paneling, striped sun rays texture, and sharp style lines, echoes Gugga’s architectural precision.

By blending HIMALAYAN FOLK-CORE AESTHETIC with cutting-edge fabric manipulation and washing techniques from both street and high street fashion, BHOOTSAVAAR is EVOLVING TRADITION into a bold, modern streetwear language. Our limited-edition accessories — eyewear and caps featuring cords, metal, and wooden trims — further embody this fusion of heritage and innovation.

BHOOTSAVAAR stands as a PIONEER in Indian streetwear, committed to a RIGOROUS DESIGN PROCESS that honors cultural legacy while delivering ORIGINAL, trendsetting apparel.

This collection features rugged trousers crafted with the Himalayan Rift pattern and three-dimensional fabric insertions, embodying a tough, aged, and neo-tribal aesthetic. Richly textured with heavy washes, the garments evoke the mystical spirit of the northern Indian Himalayas. The look is completed with a heavily paneled, custom horizontal stripe t-shirt paired with an oversized cotton shirt adorned with manipulated fabric strips.

Specially designed masks draw inspiration from ancient wooden temple masks depicting demons and dark forces defeated by the goddess. Our studio in Dharamshala also created distinctive peephole statement glasses, reflecting sculptor Gugga’s unwavering focus and determination—legend has it he carved the temple using only one hand. These are timeless tales from Chamba, standing strong through the ages. We invite you to experience this masterpiece firsthand.

LOOK 8 : explores the physical erosion of time and conflict through intense surface manipulation. The garment is constructed with heavy texturing and layered fabric art that creates a rugged, tactile landscape across the silhouette. Panels are treated with an acid wash technique to age the fabric, producing uneven tonal variations that resemble weathered structures and battle-worn surfaces. Hand-worked detailing and sculptural textures emerge like fragments of a fractured terrain. The result is a piece that feels lived-in and scarred, embodying the marks left behind by destruction while asserting resilience through craft.

LOOK 6 . GUGGA . NBC MAN

Miniature narratives from the ancient walls of Chhatrari Temple find new life in print.
Sacred brushstrokes, once confined to wood and stone, are reinterpreted onto fabric — transforming devotion into design.

The artwork is not replicated; it is translated.
Scaled, layered, and reconstructed to move with the body, carrying centuries of Himalayan craftsmanship into contemporary form.

This look stands at the intersection of memory and modernity — where heritage is not preserved in silence, but worn with strength.

GUGGA continues to echo.

LOOK 5 . GUGGA . NBC MAN

Rooted in sacred memory yet sculpted for the present, the silhouette carries a quiet aggression — structured, deliberate, unapologetic. The textures echo temple surfaces weathered by time, while the detailing feels almost ceremonial. Nothing is ornamental. Everything is intentional.

There is power in restraint here.
Strength in stillness.
An invincible energy that does not need to announce itself.
