Paying tribute to the legendary sculptor GUGGA (Gugga Mistri)—a master of intricate metal & wood carvings from Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. Brought to the kingdom by Raja Meruvarman, Gugga shaped iconic idols and temple structures like the Chhatrari temple, known for Kashmiri influence, botanical motifs, and four-petal designs.

This collection reimagines his carvings through volume staples, washes, fabric manipulation, and screen + digital prints.

This collection features rugged trousers crafted with the Himalayan Rift pattern and three-dimensional fabric insertions, embodying a tough, aged, and neo-tribal aesthetic. Richly textured with heavy washes, the garments evoke the mystical spirit of the northern Indian Himalayas. The look is completed with a heavily paneled, custom horizontal stripe t-shirt paired with an oversized cotton shirt adorned with manipulated fabric strips.

Specially designed masks draw inspiration from ancient wooden temple masks depicting demons and dark forces defeated by the goddess. Our studio in Dharamshala also created distinctive peephole statement glasses, reflecting sculptor Gugga’s unwavering focus and determination—legend has it he carved the temple using only one hand.
