𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘚𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘳!!

Fashion has two purposes: 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞.
Beauty comes when fashion succeeds.

Wearing my most comfortable Kurta for perfectly long hours walking around a trip down to mesmerising India’s one of historical heritage 𝔖𝔲𝔫 𝔗𝔞𝔪𝔭𝔩𝔢, in Gujarat.

Yes yes, I know what you all are thinking about.. isn’t this the same, crop top fabric… yes it is!

I had that fabric for a very very long time; to be precise I bought that during my college years so probably in 2013 or 2014. Yes, it’s that old fabric. I loved this traditional look of embroidery 🪡 which is quite similar to Gujrat’s traditional ‘𝘒𝘶𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪 𝘉𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵’ and its pretty vibrant colours just forced me to make an impulse buy.🤭
And what's the other best occasion to wear it, right 🥰

I used this fabric mainly in three different ways. One was the Crop top, the other one just blooming blue kurta, and another in an orange kurta just as a border. Oh even I used this fabric for my mother’s kurta.

𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐟𝐢𝐭!

This is something I learned from my London experience! Yes, that’s correct!

When I went for my master's studies in Fashion Designing everyone was least bothered about how I or anybody else for that matter; got dressed or what we wore for our daily lectures. Haha, crazy right 🫢. On the main streets of London a Fashion institute, and this is the scenario 🤔 but yes, believe it or not, it's the fact that I experienced.

All that mattered was how we performed in our curriculum and what are the innovative ways we came up with in our regular assignments.

The soul idea was to develop the inner beauty of ourselves and our way of looking at the fashion world in the coming future and not to waste our time showing off when not needed. 🥰

Taking my lessons from here, some fun ways I paired up the crop top and ‘Que sera sera’ jacket for the Navratri festival’s Peacock Green colour day. Well, this look is from the 2019 Navratri. And the same jacket I was not afraid to repeat in 2020 at my sister’s husband’s Sangeet Festival.

And yes this is the first time I am posting something personal about myself on my official Insta feed.

"The Yellow Dress"
𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙛𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙖 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧.

When the Big Fat Indian weddings have been replaced with Home-Bound weddings; So have we grew ourselves in dressing for those wedding functions. 👗🥻💃🏻
With the situation around I know it becomes difficult to find out whether what you are wearing will fit into the crowd or not, whether it will look too much or will it look very dull !?
Always wondering RIGHT !?🤔

Well, here are the answer to those questions 💡

When my elder sister's wedding functions were organized it was strict lockdown situation. So we had no choice but to organize all the wedding events at my house. The wedding was organised on a very very short period. No fabric stores were yet completely opened or selling new stock, hardly few tailors were managing to work from thier small houses. It was the first wedding in my house and YES obviously we had to have all the possible function.🥳

So here I was; wearing "The Yellow Dress" 💛
This was the outfit that I wore for the Haldi ceremony. I designed plain yellow pleated cowl neck linen kurti and paired it with the silk fuchsia pink pants. SInce it was THE family funciton, to make it look more heavier but appropriate to the home-bound event I coordinated it with my old sea-green color floor length jacket.
