Proud to announce the inauguration of the first commercial-scale SUPRAUNO® plant—India’s first supercritical CO₂ dyeing plant and the world’s first versatile CO₂ dyeing plant that dyes not only polyester but all major fabric types (including cotton, nylon, viscose, acrylic, linen, silk, and blends) using conventional dyes and their tri-chrome recipes.

The inauguration marks the culmination of a unique three-way partnership: Deven Supercriticals bringing cutting-edge Indian innovation, Arvind Limited enabling large-scale industrial deployment, and H&M supporting the adoption of disruptive solutions in line with its sustainability ambitions. This is a first-of-its-kind approach to enable scaling of innovation from lab to bulk scale.

This pioneering technology, globally patented under the SUPRAUNO® brand, reduces water use in the fabric dyeing process by leveraging supercritical carbon dioxide. At a commercial scale, it delivers up to 76% water savings, ~67% energy savings, and ~90% reduction in chemical usage within the coloration stage compared to conventional dyeing methods, while also significantly reducing effluent discharge.

We are glad to share that we have completed the manufacturing of the commercial-scale SUPRAUNO® plant, which is now on its way to Arvind Limited, Ahmedabad, India.

This marks a significant milestone in our collaborative project with H&M and Arvind Limited, which aims to bring the SUPRAUNO® waterless dyeing and finishing technology from Deven Supercriticals to commercial-scale implementation.

The SUPRAUNO® plant, dispatched in 9 truckloads, will be installed and commissioned at Arvind Limited’s Santej facility in Ahmedabad, taking us one step closer to reshaping the future of sustainable dyeing across all textile types. This plant would have a dyeing capacity of 4 tonnes of fabric per day.

We are deeply grateful to the management and teams at Arvind Limited and H&M Group for their continued support and partnership throughout this journey.
