Creative Handicrafts Creative Handicrafts is an NGO and a Fair Trade Organization that works towards the Economic Empower

Creative Handicrafts is a Mumbai based Fair Trade Organization founded in 1984 by Isabel Martín, a Spanish missionary from the congregation of the Missionaries of Christ Jesus. Together with a group of women, she started involving economically vulnerable women living in slum communities in the self employment of producing and selling textile based crafts. Today, as a member of the World Fair Trade

Organization, Creative Handicrafts successfully produces handicrafts for the national as well as the international fair trade market. The philosophy of the organization is that economic independence is the first step towards self reliance and true empowerment.
