Samar Firdos is a wizard of fabrics. He can weave magic with his strong understanding of textiles. His diploma in Textile Design from NID and Fashion Design from NIFT enables him to seamlessly blend the textiles and apparel domains. His innovations in textiles and fashion won him the, Bharat Gaurav Puraskaar in 2011-2012 by All India Achievers Foundation, the I-Dot design Award 2010, Shibori Symposium Award in 2008, ‘Designer of the year’ award by CMAI in 2006, the ‘Pride of NID’ award, 2007 and 2008, Finalist for the IYFEY (International young fashion entrepreneur of the Year) award, BY British Council in 2007, the ‘Kimaya Fashion Award’ in 2005 and best outstanding student of NIFT in 2003. .............................SAMAR FIRDOS
