Haldi Moments ...!!
Nikita’s Haldi look was all about ease, calm, and quiet elegance 🤍
For the bride, the theme was white — chosen to beautifully complement the groom’s yellow & white palette.

Her sister, had a clear vision for this look, and we worked closely to bring it to life — thoughtfully, slowly, and with a lot of care. Comfort was always at the centre.

A speghetti crop top, flowy flared pants, and a long hakoba jacket came together to create a silhouette that felt light, effortless, and true to the moment.
Nothing loud. Nothing heavy. Just soft details and graceful movement.

Every stitch was done with intention — so Nikita could feel free, present, and fully enjoy her Haldi ceremony.

Sarees are every woman’s favourite attire for festivals and special occasions. We love to buy them, gift them to our loved ones… yet so many of these beautiful sarees end up sitting quietly in the corners of our wardrobes—unused, untouched, sometimes forgotten.

Those worn and even unworn sarees that have been lying there for years almost started talking to me—asking to be used, to be loved again. That’s when the idea struck me: why not recreate them into something different, interesting, and wearable more often? Something that gives these sarees a new life and the acknowledgement they truly deserve, instead of remaining unattended on a shelf and that’s how this journey of recreating began.

When I started recreating outfits from old sarees and shared this thought on my Instagram page, along with my clients and friends, the response was overwhelming. My inbox started filling with queries from people wanting customised designs made from their own sarees—and that felt so fulfilling.

This particular piece is very close to me. My dear friend Manasi Joshi Roy trusted me with her beautiful sea-green Banarasi saree that got burnt during Diwali. She loved it deeply but wasn’t sure it could be saved. With a lot of patience, detailing, and care, my master ji and I transformed it into a kurta and narrow pants—something she could wear often and feel beautiful again.

Moments like these remind me why I do what I do.
