Ek Katha creates clothing for women based on ethical craft practices and slow fashion principles. 🇮🇳

They provide an alternative to imported fast fashion made with synthetic materials. 🙌

Ek Katha works with handloom fabrics from different parts of India including Kota Doria from Rajasthan, mulberry silk from Bengal, kala cotton from Gujarat, and Chanderi from Madhya Pradesh. 😊

They partner with Khamir, a local organization in Kutch, to revive the dying craft of batik printing, a unique form of wax resist block printing. 🤩

Ek Katha is part of the Sustie community and has All India Artisans and Craftworkers Welfare Association (AIACA) Craftmark certification. ❤️

👉 going beyond the basics: We are crafting styles that are not only body inclusive, unique and fashionable but can also be styled in numerous ways.
👉 and as surface treatment: Batik adds a dimension to our handloom cloth in a subtle, interesting way. The combination of traditional visual elements and our contemporary patterns give the cloth a new form.
👉 and : The handloom cloth hungrily absorbs the dyes from natural sources if it is woven with natural materials. Yes,natural dyes bleed over a period of time and even fades in sunlight, but the newer shades look equally alluring. This one ages beautifully.

And even for a minute if you could just imagine the number of humans that have worked on this cloth from growing/processing of the fiber to the various stages of and and then the entire operation of , cutting, tailoring and , You would feel much more attached to what you own.
