Our Leather Balm is the safest answer to protect your leather goods!

It's a beeswax-based leather conditioner designed specifically to treat and protect your full-grain leather goods. Its all-natural formula helps to restore leather's natural oils and prevent drying and cracking, mold formation, and makes it softer and more supple.

Ingredients: Unbleached Beeswax, 100% natural, Pure Almond Oil. No chemicals, solvents or additives involved. This makes our balm non-toxic unlike other leather cleaners.

Fragrance Free - Smells like its ingredients - a hint of almonds and beeswax - almost odourless

Color: Neutral. Some leathers will appear darker because they will absorb the balm more readily when applied, but will normalize over time (24-48 hours).

*WHEN TO USE*
Once in 3-6 months, depending on the type of leather. You will know if your leather feels dry, rigid, or has lost its lustre.

*DO NOT USE FOR*
Do not use for leathers that have a velvet-like feel on top such as suede or nubuck leather - these are leathers with really short nap of fibres on the surface.

Leather deployed it its most natural form shows such spectacular grain patterns. It’s a gift from nature. You can’t get these patterns on demand. Its the randomness that makes it more pleasing and enjoyable.
Hot plating machines can be used to imprint any desired texture on leather. Such textures repeat themselves over the hide. Whereas natural patterns are unique, one of a kind. Consider yourself lucky if your wallet sports such a pattern! Because not every wallet can have it!

This is the Slim Bifold No. 1 in our signature Chestnut leather. It is a natural vegetable tanned leather that has striking patterns in some areas of the hide. This wallet was made with one such section of the hide.
Working with natural veg tan leather requires a fair degree of experience. Unlike cutting a required section from fabric or synthetic leathers, one has to ensure that the section has the right thickness, a defect free surface and no weak areas that could break due to daily wear and tear.
The craftsman develops this keen eye for leather selection over the years, getting better at it over the course of their training.
Each wallet that is made by our craftsmen requires this meticulous selection process.

Classic Wallets in Mahogany and Chestnut leathers. Texture on leather created in house using just our hands 🙌. Each wallet is handmade in a way that truly tested the skills of our craftsmen.
We don’t use cutting dies. Each panel is cut by tracing over a pattern with a knife blade.
We don’t use sewing machines. Each stitch is made using the traditional hand stitching technique for leather called the saddle-stitch.
We don’t just sand the edges and paint them. Instead they are hand burnished and then sealed with a beeswax based sealant to make them resistant to damage.
We don’t use pigment based leather which looks and feels the same all across, hiding the natural markings and patterns on it. We use full grain aniline leather that has to be carefully examined each time before we mark, to work around any cosmetic defects.
Our craftsmen have been working this way for the last 5 years now! Getting better each day.

Hello 👋 are you’ll are having a chill weekend? I want to share that we are quite floored with the response to our new hand grained leather wallets - they are becoming quite popular! Seen here is the Classic Wallet in Chestnut. https://godbolegear.com/products/classic-wallet-chestnut-textured

When you run your hand across this leather, you will a feel a subtle grain and ridge pattern. It is not too pronounced like the . At the same time, the leather will feel more supple than the regular smooth leather before hand graining. Basically, the time required for breaking-in of the vegetable tanned leather…this leather is supple to begin with, so it does not start out as firm as regular veg tan leather.

We start with the vegetable tanned leather as our base, and then hand grain it in both directions (see reel posted before this post). This creates a distinguished grain pattern that also imparts flexibility to the leather.

As for the life of the leather, hand graining does not change the durability of the leather. That is a function of the underlying leather. And as you probably know we work with some skilfully tanned vegetable tanned leather which has a life of a few decades if not more when cared for regularly.
