Kasha Saris

Kasha Saris We handpick traditional Indian weaves- sarees, stoles and dupattas and embellish them with fine Kasu Our store is at Navi Mumbai. Seasons greetings !

For local purchases, contact Kanchan on 9867375933 or 8369430696. At Kasha every saree has a story. We are an 'all women 'team , love rich Indian textures , and hand pick ethnic natural weaves- silk and cotton. Each creation is unique and 'single piece.'
So, grab one when you like one ! You are not likely to see a 'Kasha' same as yours! We work with women artisans from Karnataka, who are fighting

hard to keep alive the fine dying art of Kasuti hand embroidery. While we celebrate and enjoy their craft we could light up their lives too, by encouraging them with our support . Clothing speaks a language of its own. Kanchan, certified Image Consultant , uses the knowledge on the subject in our creations. We painstakingly work on the fine elements of design-
line, colour, shape, pattern and texture. The final output is classic, traditional, yet trendy and chic. Our range includes formal, work wear- power dressing to festive and wedding collection. Many of our sarees come with options of two diverse blouse fabrics, to facilitate dressing 'Up' or 'down', with the same saree. The intricate hand embroidery- Kasuti’s ( kai) and Suti ( cotton) dates back to the Chalukya dynasty of the 17th century. The embroidery involves stitches like Ganthi( double running), Murgi ( zigzag),
Neygi(running) and Menthe(cross). The women courtiers in the Mysore Kingdom in the 17th century were expected to be adept in 64 arts, with Kasuti being one of them. The traditional motifs draw inspiration from animals, birds, pallenquins, flowers ,and rangoli designs.

Our women artisans, (some over 70 yrs ) work their magic with Kasuti art form. Lack of patronage and ‘duplicity’ by machine embroidery is a big challenge and threat to this art form. We take orders for your special events. Kasuti gifts are valued and treasured for a lifetime. This is a time consuming process and we request adequate time to execute your orders. We understand you have some favourite sarees, and will be happy to give them a new look. So,hold on to your emotional anchors- a bit of your moms heart , or that special gift. We will work with you and we shall co-create a new design for your preloved drapes. Who wants to repeat a saree - so assess your wardrobe and call us to transform your old classics . Write in to us for a Personality , body and face shape assessment. Know the design elements that best work for you and for Image Consulting services. Kanchan and Sharmila.

Whispers Of Jamdhani & Kutchi Craft

Not every saree photographs loudly.
Some are meant to be experienced. ✨

For those who love sober, understated class.

This beautiful taupe -beige-grey Muga silk comes alive in movement — with Jamdhani weaving, intricate Kutchi hand embroidery, and tiny mirrors that create the gentlest blink of light along the border.
Its elegance is subtle, rare, and deeply timeless.
A saree that doesn’t follow trends.
A saree that becomes part of your story.

There is a beautiful tradition in Maharashtra that many people outside the community may not know.
When a bride gets married in November or December, her first Makar Sankranti in January holds a very special significance. It is her first Sankranti as a new bride — and by tradition, she is gifted a black saree to mark this occasion.
At Kasha Saris we honour this tradition by crafting Kasuti — a GI Tagged heritage embroidery art from Karnataka, traced back to the Chalukya dynasty — on a black Chandrakala saree. The result is something deeply rooted in culture, made entirely by hand, and beautiful enough to be treasured for generations.
This is the kind of gift that goes beyond the occasion. It becomes part of her story.
If there is a November or December wedding in your family, this is the time to reach out. Elaborate pieces take up to three months to complete.
