I knew I wanted to show this saree outside a studio.
Because some sarees make more sense when they’re actually being worn.
Against old walls.
Under an open sky.
Walking through a garden.
Sitting down and letting the pallu fall wherever it wants.
This particular combination of green, purple and gold has so much personality that I didn’t want to photograph it like a catalogue piece.
And that pallu… 💜
The peacock detailing, the intricate woven patterns, the way the zari catches light — it’s the kind of detail you notice a little more every time you look at it.
