Aakriti is a Boutique Designer Store located in the lovely residential area of Yeshwantnagar just off the busy University Road of Pune. It was started in 2001 by Anita Agarwal - a dedicated home maker, a loving mother and a lady with an innate sense of design. Her specialty is clothes that fit you beautifully because they are stitched keeping in mind your body structure and preferences. Aakriti’s

range includes stitched and unstitched kurta sets for men and women in fabrics such as cottons, linens, georgettes, benarasis and block printed fabrics with embroidery, laces, brocades and gotas. A visit to Aakriti will be an experience to your senses where you will be involved in the process of designing the perfect outfit for you with Anita. Anita has been a host to the weavers of Benaras who weave in real Jari – an art that is dying but for a handful of artisans. Her range of kota doriya saris, benarasi sairs in net, upada and georgettes as well as maheshwari & chanderi printed saris have always been a hit with the ladies of Poona society. Anita has always kept up with the times but now more so influenced by two new daughters in law in the house her collection includes trendy tunics, shirts, kaftans and more! All in all Aakriti – By Anita is definitely worth a visit and who knows in addition to clothes for you and your husband you might pick up some interesting jewelry from Baroda or Potlis to make your outfit complete!
