“Storytelling doesn’t change. The technology changes.”
Before Helmet Stories, before motorcycle expeditions and films, was telling stories through magazines.
He’s seen storytelling move from print to blogs, brands, films and social media. But in his eyes, the core has stayed exactly the same. Every good story begins with a journey, runs into a problem, finds a way through it, and keeps moving.
That perspective shaped Helmet Stories too. What started as documenting rides with friends, emailing photos and notes straight from a phone to a blog - slowly grew into something much bigger. A passion found its audience before it found its business.
Some of his favourite memories still come from those journalism years. Working through the night to meet a print deadline, then stepping out at dawn for brun maska and chai at an Irani café, while the city was just waking up.
Maybe that’s why Harsh has never been attached to one format. For him, the medium keeps evolving. The story is what stays.
