🇮🇳 Kargil Vijay Diwas – 26th July 🇮🇳
“Some victories are written in history. Kargil was written in the blood of our heroes.”
Every year on 26th July, India observes Kargil Vijay Diwas to commemorate the historic victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the Kargil War of 1999. This day honors the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and unwavering determination of the brave soldiers who reclaimed our nation’s peaks from enemy intrusion under Operation Vijay.
The Kargil War was fought in the harsh mountains of Jammu & Kashmir, where Indian soldiers battled at altitudes above 16,000 feet in freezing temperatures and extremely difficult conditions. Despite every challenge, they displayed unmatched bravery and ensured that the Indian Tricolour flew high once again.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is not just a celebration of military victory—it is a reminder of the price of our freedom. Hundreds of brave soldiers laid down their lives so that every Indian could live in peace, dignity, and pride.
On this day, we remember the immortal heroes such as Captain Vikram Batra (PVC), Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey (PVC), Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav (PVC), Rifleman Sanjay Kumar (PVC), and countless others whose courage continues to inspire generations.
As citizens, the greatest tribute we can pay them is to remain united, responsible, and dedicated to building a stronger India.
Salute to every soldier who stood fearlessly on the frontlines.
Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
