Today I received an email. “Hey, do you produce T-shirts? If yes, what’s the price?”

That was the entire message.😥

No product photo.
No fabric details.
Not even sure if they meant round neck … or a polo shirt.

I paused for a moment, not because the question was strange,
but because it happens more often than people think.

From the outside, manufacturing looks simple: 🔅
“Make T-shirts → Give price → Produce.”

Inside a factory, “T-shirt” is not one product.
It’s more of decisions:

Is it cotton fabric or with stretch?
150 GSM or 180 GSM?
Ring spun or Recycled/Blended yarn?
Bio wash or enzyme?
Color: Black, white, navy?

I didn’t feel annoyed. I felt reminded of a bigger gap.

There is a huge distance between how buyers think production works and how production actually works.

Factories don’t price words.
They price specifications.

And good products are not created from questions like “What’s the price?”
They are created from conversations like
“How should this feel when someone wears it?”

I wrote back kindly and asked for details.
Not to make it complicated.
But to make it real.

Because real products don’t start with prices.
They start with clarity.💯
