Bibidha Bibidha deals fabricated and curated clothing, embellishments, knick-knacks and decors.

We, Mita Raychaudhuri and Antara Raychaudhuri, the mother-daughter duo would like to introduce ourselves as the proprietors of a ‘boutique’ named BIBIDHA, more aptly called an art shop. Mita Raychaudhuri as a designer, had long ago started designing a variety of things from Tshirts to torans, sarees to stationary items, kurtas to kameezes and many more, but to give it a professional name happened

only on May, 2000. Since then, our home has metamorphosed into a workshop, recreating folk arts and crafts in clothing, embellishments, knick-knacks and decors, throughout the year, marking special occasions and festivals.

‘ধূপছায়া’ নস্যি রঙের, সোনামুখী সিল্ক জুড়ে, discharge block printএর বুটা, শাড়িতে এনে দেয় একটা আধুনিক look. আঁচলটাকে পেঁচিয়ে drapingটা বদলে নেওয়া যেতে পারে। চুলটাকে ডানদিকে আলগোছে নিয়ে, একটা messy বেনী। পুরো ‘swag’ নিয়ে শহরের রাজপথে!

Biscuit রঙের, বাংলাদেশের ‘জলডুড়ি’ সুতির শাড়িতে Andhra style এর, Machilipatnam Kalamkari আঁকা। Maroon রঙ করা base এর উপর শাড়ির রঙের ময়ূর, ফুল, লতাপাতা ফুটে ওঠে। দেখে মনে হয়, block print এর গদের কোনো এক নমুনা।
গলায়, বেণী করা tassle এ, ঝোলানো ঘুঙুর, রুদ্রাক্ষের হাতে তৈরি মালা। কানে Dokra এর chandbali, ডান হাতে জোড়া মোটা Dokraর বালা।
চুলটা, বাঁ দিকে side parting করে, অল্প bouffant বানিয়ে, ঘাড়ের কাছে একটা খোঁপা। কানে গোঁজা কাগজের ফুল। Neat eyes, lips lined, মাথায় Maroon টিপ। তৈরি আপনি!
